The first individual Swaledale female sale on behalf of the Swaledale Sheep Breeder’s Association saw the largest entry for the date with a new record price achieved. The Championship rosette was awarded to PE & KA Sowerby of Oak Bank, Barras with a gimmer shearling sired by a Bull & Cave tup and inlamb to a John Bland tup,  she went on to sell for a new centre record of 2000gns purchased by the judge Mr Josepth Natrass of Alston. Other noted prices where A & M Skidmore, Flakebridge, Tebay,  Reserve Champion selling for 1200gns whilst aged ewes from P Hallam, High Birkwith sold to 1100gns.
