Brian Aconley – President for 2023
The President of the SSBA for 2023 is Brian Aconley, Ash House, Farndale, Kirkby Moorside.
Brian took over the reigns from Dick Dalton, South Welhope, Weardale on 1st January, and will serve until 31st December 2023.
Brian, born in 1947, making him 76 in September, was born at Elm House in Farndale, and now lives and farms at Ash House, also in Farndale. He has bred Swaledale’s all of his life, and when he started, members from E District were part of A District, and once popularity grew, E District was formed on the North Yorkshire Moors.
Brian used to attend and exhibit at most shows in the area, but now acts as steward at Farndale Show. He likes to attend tup sales at St Johns Chapel, Middleton in Teesdale and the Friday at Kirkby Stephen.
